How dare you sit at ease in the mists of Zion, with dry eyes and bowlfuls of wine. Excuse me, I’ll let someone else comment now, while I go to bathroom and throw up in heart breaking disgust!!!

I generally don't agree with Rod Parsley but he did say something one day that made me think:"In Sudan [might have been another but he used an African nation] militant muslims came to a church. They removed all the members and left the pastor and his family inside. The militants burned the church with the family inside....Meanwhile the church in America is praying to God...HOW MUCH MORE CAN YOU BLESS ME WITH?!"

Jaysaved... Even false teachers get it right some of the time.I tell ya, many American Christians have a big surprise coming when they stand before God. And I'm saying this to myself as well... we're so apathetic while the world dies and goes to hell. Many Christians believe they are being persecuted when "Touched By An Angel" was cancelled (as if that was a Christian show anyway...). We have no idea what real persecution is.I was complaining about gas prices on another thread... but ya know what? Hard times usually draw us closer to God. I'm not hoping for persecution ala communist regime style... but I think some hard times is what will awaken the Church... not some false revival with cool music.Maybe instead of praying for revival we ought to be praying for hard times... which will lead to revival. One of the greatest revivals in America happened during the Civil War. Soldiers from both side were coming to Christ by the thousands. Why? Hard times. Not easy times... hard times. Not times of prosperity... hard times. When I'm coaching football I have to spend the first 2 weeks "breaking" the players. They have to know who the boss is. It's hard and it's tough, and usually a handfull quit. It's a process they need to go thru in order to get into a position where they can be taught. Once they are taught, they are drilled relentlessly. Then game time comes... and they are ready, and hopefully the result of the breaking, teaching and drilling is victory.It's never easy to go thru a "breaking" process, but if revival is ever going to come to America, it will have to be as a result of some serious breaking. Y'all that pray for revival... better be sure thats what you really want.It's what I want. I know it is... but praying for God's breaking process is never easy. It's hard to even mutter the words. But it is what is needed.Krispy

Maybe instead of praying for revival we ought to be praying for hard times... which will lead to revivalLead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one.

With a heavy heart I pray that God will open the eyes of Christians in America (myself included). Whether that is from persecution or tribulation...something has got to change.

Please be gentle with one another. There is a world of difference between praying these things for oneself, or at the request of the person, and assuming these are automatically top priority and transferrable to prayers for anyone else. We still need to be led by the Spirit, for the best results.
