Finally, I can post about my excitement concerning God inspiring you to put this newsletter together and to complete it so quickly! Yay - it's not a secret anymore! I'm still working on finishing reading the front page article. It's a really good article by Leonard Ravenhill. The quote that's stood out to me the most, though all of what I've read so far is really good, is that "we stagnate in the status quo and sleep easy at night while our generation moves swiftly to the eternal night of hell. Shame, shame on us!"I can't wait until this first newsletter is available for everyone to read, print out and distribute!

Yodi wrote:"we stagnate in the status quo and sleep easy at night while our generation moves swiftly to the eternal night of hell. Shame, shame on us!"I agree and I'm so very much to blame for that Yodi, yes shame on me. May God get me out of my comfort zone and give me a hunger for souls!

Much much encouragement to you Greg! You know what it reminds me of? in a way of the old "Apostolic Faith" newspapers of Azusa Street!!getting closer to that old fashioned camp meeting, aint we?

sermonindex Aug 31, 2005

Brother I really believe it to be something of an underground newpaper somewhat like the "Apostolic Faith". I am praying that people will catch the vision and start to personally make copies to give away to others. I am believing God will use it powerfully for His glory. The great thing about it is that there is no way to keep track of how many copies are being make. All glory belongs to God. Use it how you will Lord.It is pretty simple to distribute.1. Print off the orginal pdf on your computer printer (6 pages)2. Take the 6 pages to the photocopier and photocopy them double sided so it will be 3 pages and staple it. I have made 30 copies for now and its not that expensive to make more. I am excited to give them out to people to bless them spiritually.

Great job Greg.and that is a beautiful picture of Catherine Booth. I have never looked into her eyes before. I am particularly blessed with the life of Bramwell Booth who was the 'pastor' of the Salvation Army and said to be much more like his mother in temperament. These pictures are very revealing. The old war horse ready as always for another charge, and 'the mother of the army' with eyes full of compassion and longing. Is it OK to do a straight link from my biblebase.com to the file?btw the font for the final white on black has hardly any disctinction between the 'c' and the 'o', or even the 'e'. Could it be my Mac version of the pdf that is a local problem?

Greg, This is exciting! I've just printed off a copy and will print off some more to share! Thank you, this is such a blessing to share with others. :-)

Brother Greg, When I recieved the e-mail with "The Old Paths" it came to my mind what I have read in "The Revival We Need" by Oswald Smith."We read in the biographies of our forefathers, who were most successful in winning souls, that they prayed for hours in private. The question therefore arises, can we get the same results without following their example? If we can, then let us prove to the world that we have found a better way; but if not, then in God's name let us begin to follow those who through faith and patience obtained the promise. Our forefathers wept and prayed and agonized before the Lord for sinners to be saved, and would not rest until they were slain by the Sword of the Word of God. That was the secret of their mighty success; when things were slack and would not move they wrestled in prayer till God poured out His Spirit upon the people and sinners were converted." (For Those Who Seek.)Oh, for a such men of God today.

Thank you all for sharing how this is blessing you. Yes you can make a direct link to the pdf file. If you could print screen on the place where the text is buggy and send it in a email ron that would be best for me being able to trouble-shoot the problem.Do print these out and give them to others. Also forward the email to many people. Yes brother Kire may we follow in their examples.

What a great name for the newsletter, reminds me of the church here in Rochester that hosts Keith Daniels, "Old Paths Bible Baptist Church".What a great tool to spread the Gospel to others in the church! I pray God would be glorified and that the church would awake as a result of reading this newsletter. In Christ,Doug Renz

I am glad you are being blessed by the newsletter brother. There has been a very positive response. I am really feeling led to get it out to people as much as possible. Even tonight I gave it to some brothers at this one church and they are going to go and make copies to give to others.I am putting on the front page a link to the newsletter directly in its pdf format. I hope many use it for God's glory and it spreads according to the will and purposes of God.
