Brother Yesh,I agree that the TV should go, not so sure about the computer. The internet is at your disposal, TV programming is pretty biased to the world (okay completely biased). There may be some that have read my posts about this, so I hope I am not driving it in the ground, and I hope, as Ravenhill says, that I don't stir up more rattlesnakes than we can kill with this post.God came upon me with His Spirit in a incredible way, just like you hear about it old revivals. This is my experience, so take it with a grain of salt if you wish, but do trust what the Word says about it (filled with the Spirit, baptism of the Holy Ghost, coming of the Comforter, promise of the Father, etc).I believe that He will pour out His Spirit upon you, when you come to the place where you can honestly divorce yourself from the world, completely. To carry your cross out of the city, you can't take anything else, and when those nails go through your hands and feet, you have given up all rights to do with your body what you please. Anyone disagree? Read the Book:1 Cor 15:31b "I die daily"Gal 2:20a "I am crucified with Christ"I personally told God that I was tired of pretending to be spiritual, tired of pretense in my walk with Him, that I needed discipline, that I am unclean and undone, that I wanted less me and more Him, that He could kill me, or have me tortured, or burned, but I would serve Him, that I didn't want to look back because the world has nothing of true value.I wrestled with Him, and He blessed me. It wasn't fun, I wouldn't even call it cool. It gave me a rekindled fear of God's ability, and how holy and majestic He is. It was purifying. Now the deal is that I have somewhat of a new struggle, in that the the things of the world are one step grimmer. I don't really want to do anything that is not involving Him. So as a result, I feel even more alienated to people. Please, no one get me wrong. I still sin, I still struggle with the flesh, but I am different. I don't know all the details because the experience is so new. But Yesh, God will get absolutely serious with you, if you are absolutely serious about Him.I really had to respond as that blah period was a tremendous hurdle in my life for a long time. To be honest, I don't feel like a conqueror, I feel that I need to be praying, reading His Word, studying about Him, witnessing, building saints, or sharpening my axe all the time. I feel more inferiour than I did before, and less worthy of anything from Him. I'm nothing more than a cup which I desired to have His Spirit poured into.I had for years thought that my soulwinning (what little I do) and leadership made God smile at my life, when I later realized I was just offering up my good works like Cain, instead of my own broken body on the altar. God never sent fire on a fruit, he wants our flesh, he wants me, he wants you.I hope no one takes these statements wrongly, I just want Yesh to know that there is something to be sought in his situation right now. No glory to me, all glory to Him. Hope this helps you, brother."And there came a fire out from before the LORD, and consumed upon the altar the burnt offering and the fat: which when all the people saw, they shouted, and fell on their faces."
