A Nice Cyber find

sermonindex Sep 7, 2005

I am looking for images, from art, of the Lord and of the Crucifixion. What for you may ask?I will presenting (and acting) in a play I wrote about the late mayor Richard J. Daley of Chicago. Now the mayor was a daily communicant. What that means is that every single morning the mayor took mass at 7 AM. He did wear this on his sleeve, it was just a part, (and a major one I believe) of his life. I open the play with the mayor on his knees taking mass by the communion rail, and I wanted to show old old paintings circa 700-1500 A.D. as projections on white panels.I found this site:http://www.bridgeman.co.uk/The Bridgeman Art Libraryon a sidebar, I'm not an enthusiast of the mass, nor a partaker. When writing the play, I focused on the parts that speak of the atonement of Christ and His Lordship. That's very important to me, and starts the play on the Footing it needs to be. also selfishly as the lead in the show, I know what adrenalin rushes you get when you first come onstage, so I decided I would start the play on my knees praying to the Lord Jesus Christ, rather than on my feet quaking like a leaf.Glory!!when you get to the site, put the Name "Jesus" in the search box.
