How about a thread that has everyone's favorite hymn or hymns you like? Here is one I like Must Jesus Bear The Cross Alone?Must Jesus bear the cross alone. And all the world go free? No; there’s a cross for everyone. And there’s a cross for me.The consecrated cross I’ll bear. Till death shall set me free. And then go home my crown to wear. For there’s a crown for me.Up on the crystal pavement, down At Jesus’ pierced feet,Joyful, I’ll cast my golden crown. And His dear name repeat.O precious cross! O glorious crown! O resurrection day!Ye angels, from the stars come down. And take my soul away. Amen

I have a couple of favorites...In The GardenI come to the garden aloneWhile the dew is still on the rosesAnd the voice I hear falling on my earThe Son of God discloses.RefrainAnd He walks with me, and He talks with me,And He tells me I am His own;And the joy we share as we tarry there,None other has ever known. He speaks, and the sound of His voice,Is so sweet the birds hush their singing,And the melody that He gave to meWithin my heart is ringing.RefrainI’d stay in the garden with HimThough the night around me be falling,But He bids me go; through the voice of woeHis voice to me is calling.RefrainTurn Your Eyes Upon JesusO soul, are you weary and troubled? No light in the darkness you see? There’s a light for a look at the Savior,And life more abundant and free!RefrainTurn your eyes upon Jesus,Look full in His wonderful face,And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,In the light of His glory and grace.Through death into life everlastingHe passed, and we follow Him there;Over us sin no more hath dominion—For more than conquerors we are!RefrainHis Word shall not fail you—He promised;Believe Him, and all will be well:Then go to a world that is dying,His perfect salvation to tell!RefrainIn Christ,Ron

Here are two of mineOh The Deep Deep Love Of JesusO the deep, deep love of Jesus, vast, unmeasured, boundless, free!Rolling as a mighty ocean in its fullness over me!Underneath me, all around me, is the current of Thy loveLeading onward, leading homeward to my glorious rest above!O the deep, deep love of Jesus, spread His praise from shore to shore! How He loveth, ever loveth, changeth never, nevermore! How He watches o’er His loved ones, died to call them all His own;How for them He intercedeth, watcheth o’er them from the throne!O the deep, deep love of Jesus, ‘tis a heav’n of heav’ns to meAnd it lifts me up to glory, for it lifts me up to Thee!My Jesus I Love TheeMy Jesus, i love Thee, i know Thou art mine; For Thee all the follies of sin i resign; My gracious Redeemer, my Savior art Thou;If ever i loved Thee, my Jesus, ’tis now.I love Thee because Thou hast first loved me,And purchased my pardon on Calvary’s tree;I love Thee for wearing the thorns on Thy brow;If ever i loved Thee, my Jesus, ’tis now.I’ll love Thee in life, i will love Thee in death,And praise Thee as long as Thou lendest me breath; And say when the death dew lies cold on my brow,If ever i loved Thee, my Jesus, ’tis now.In mansions of glory and endless delight,I’ll ever adore Thee in heaven so bright;I’ll sing with the glittering crown on myIf ever I loved Thee, my Jesus, ’tis now.William

I found this one I like.ARISE, my soul, arise, Shake 4-6s & 2-8s.1 ARISE, my soul, arise,Shake off thy guilty fears; The bleeding sacrificeIn my behalf appears; Before the throne thy Surety stands; My name is written on his hands. 2 He ever lives above,For me to intercede,His all-redeeming love,His precious blood, to plead:His blood atoned for all our race,And sprinkles now the throne of grace. 3 Five bleeding wounds he bears,Received on Calvary; They pour effectual prayers,They strongly speak for me:"Forgive him, O forgive," they cry?"Nor let that ransomed sinner die!" 4 The Father hears him pray,His dear Anointed One;He cannot turn awayThe presence of his Son:His Spirit answers to the blood,And tells me I am born of God. 5 My God is reconciled,His pardoning voice I hear,He owns me for his child,I can no longer fear,With confidence I now draw nigh,And, Father, Abba, Father, cry!

Here is mine: Our God, He is AliveThere is, beyond the azure blueA God, concealed from human sightHe tinted skies with heav'nly hueAnd framed the worlds with His great mightChorus:There is a God, He is aliveIn Him we live and we surviveFrom dust our God created manHe is our God, the great I AmThere was a long, long time agoA God whose voice the prophets heardHe is the God that we should knowWho speaks from His inspired wordRepeat ChorusSecure is life from mortal mindGod holds the germ within His handThough men may search they cannot findFor God alone does understandRepeat ChorusOur God, whose Son upon a treeA life was willing there to giveThat He from sin might set man freeAnd evermore with Him could liveRepeat ChorusThis song is absoluely beautiful when sung in four part harmony. The bass leads out in the chorus. One time this song was sung at a camp meeting in the gym. The building was full...and when it was sung you looked at the roof, wondering if it was still there!ginnyrose

I love my Lord, but with no love of mine,For I have none to give;I love Thee, Lord, but all the love is Thine,For by Thy love I live.I am as nothing, and rejoice to beEmptied, and lost, and swallowed up in Thee.Thou, Lord, alone, art all Thy children need,And there is none beside; From Thee the streams of blessedness proceed,In Thee the bless’d abide.Fountain of life, and all-abounding grace,Our source, our center, and our dwelling-place.- Madame Guyon

When peace, like a river, attendeth my way,When sorrows like sea billows roll;Whatever my lot, Thou has taught me to say,It is well, it is well, with my soul.RefrainIt is well, with my soul,It is well, with my soul,It is well, it is well, with my soul.Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come,Let this blest assurance control,That Christ has regarded my helpless estate,And hath shed His own blood for my soul.RefrainMy sin, oh, the bliss of this glorious thought! My sin, not in part but the whole,Is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more,Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul!RefrainFor me, be it Christ, be it Christ hence to live:If Jordan above me shall roll,No pang shall be mine, for in death as in lifeThou wilt whisper Thy peace to my soul.RefrainBut, Lord, ‘tis for Thee, for Thy coming we wait,The sky, not the grave, is our goal;Oh trump of the angel! Oh voice of the Lord!Blessèd hope, blessèd rest of my soul!RefrainAnd Lord, haste the day when my faith shall be sight,The clouds be rolled back as a scroll; The trump shall resound, and the Lord shall descend,Even so, it is well with my soul.Refrainhttp://www.cyberhymnal.org/mid/v/i/villeduh.midThere';s not much to say about this hymn, when it's in the Spirit, it's right in the centre of truth and a real blessing to sing.

My all time favorite Hymn: Amazing Grace Amazing grace! How sweet the soundThat saved a wretch like meI once was lost but now am found,Was blind but now I see‘Twas grace that taught my heart to fearAnd grace my fears relievedHow precious did that grace appearThe hour I first believedThe Lord has promised good to meHis word my hope securesHe will my shield and portion beAs long as life enduresThrough many dangers, toils, and snaresI have already come‘Tis grace hath brought me safe thus farAnd grace will lead me homeWhen we’ve been there ten-thousand yearsBright shining as the sunWe’ve no less days to sing God’s praiseThan when we first begun

I think this one is my favorite until further notice. I was told by a friend that the denomination of the church I go to was making a move to take out all the songs with the word 'blood' out of the hymnbook. After researching I came to find this song on our hymnbook and hear the music for the first time. Not long after I heard it sang at the end of a Curtis Hutson message, where Dr. Hutson said he wanted to have the third verse put on his tombstone. Later I began my website dyingthief.com in the same tradition, but concerning the thief of the second verse. Since I was a dying thief before I came savingly to Jesus, and really everyone else is who has stolen, who has not been saved. The portion of the Scripture that includes the thief on the cross is still amazing to me. Cowper's story is not refined, but rather dark. It reminds me of my dark past, and where I was, and who I was before the cleansing blood saved me from sure death. Here is William Cowper's hymn, available at: http://www.cyberhymnal.org/htm/t/f/tfountfb.htmTHERE IS A FOUNTAIN FILLED WITH BLOODThere is a fountain filled with blood drawn from Emmanuel’s veins; And sinners plunged beneath that flood lose all their guilty stains.Lose all their guilty stains, lose all their guilty stains; And sinners plunged beneath that flood lose all their guilty stains. The dying thief rejoiced to see that fountain in his day;And there have I, though vile as he, washed all my sins away.Washed all my sins away, washed all my sins away; And there have I, though vile as he, washed all my sins away.Dear dying Lamb, Thy precious blood shall never lose its powerTill all the ransomed church of God be saved, to sin no more.Be saved, to sin no more, be saved, to sin no more;Till all the ransomed church of God be saved, to sin no more.E’er since, by faith, I saw the stream Thy flowing wounds supply,Redeeming love has been my theme, and shall be till I die.And shall be till I die, and shall be till I die;Redeeming love has been my theme, and shall be till I die. Then in a nobler, sweeter song, I’ll sing Thy power to save,When this poor lisping, stammering tongue lies silent in the grave.Lies silent in the grave, lies silent in the grave; When this poor lisping, stammering tongue lies silent in the grave.Lord, I believe Thou hast prepared, unworthy though I be,For me a blood bought free reward, a golden harp for me!’Tis strung and tuned for endless years, and formed by power divine,To sound in God the Father’s ears no other name but Thine.

THERE IS A FOUNTAIN FILLED WITH BLOOD...WOW... I've heard ravenhill quote some of that hymn. I love it. Do you know where you could download someone actually singing it?

L

No, but if you find out let me know. The only time I have heard it sung is by a congregation on a sermon that I downloaded.
