I have read this book "Under the Influence: How Christianity Transformed Civilization" by Alvin J. Schmidt. There is so much food for thought there. He writes how so many of the social programs our governement supports has been started by Christians: hospitals, schools, welfare or charity. He does a beautiful job of explaining that it makes it easy for us to understand the better the mess the western world is in. As I understand it entrepreneurs have stepped in with their profiteering mindset and secularized them which explains the disorder..... Has anyone else read this book? And if so, what do you think of it?ginnyrose
