Katrina -how would the Lord Jesus would react!!

I have been ill over the past few days and realise how are lives can so easily fall apart at gods hands!!What would you do if you had no money, no food and no house, would you get angry or would you cry out like Job?It is said in the bible that the son of man had no place to rest his head nor to lieThe diciples had no money and possesions they all got taken!!! or confiscated!!What is your heart like underneath everything? Only god knows?i have been reading humble1 and arielles post on Xanga and I have been looking and myself and realising that with gods hand he holds are lives up!! Help me to bless you if things go well or badly!! I may have little or no faith but help me anywise!!Give me a heart of compassion O God save me o god!! What would you do if it happened to you! tell the truth on this!May the Lord bless you and keep you and may his face shine upon you !! Hi Deltadom,Really, a deep question. I think God wouldn't lead us where He shall not keep us. We have to carry our cross and deny ourselves, daily (Luke says). I truly believe if we are faithful in our everyday walk, He will give us the grace if things should go worse. I think of the martyrs, they just lived their lives and was true to God. You know during that time it was a lot diffirent. People knew if they became Christians they would have to give up their lives in a very real sense. That is a good question, "What would you do if it happened to you?" I remember distinctly seeing this little girl hanging out the window of a car, surrounded by flood waters saying to the camera in her little voice, "Help us". That about killed me. But what a beautiful, intimate picture I got of how the Father sees me when I cry to Him in my distress. I'm sure my hurts and cries for help break His heart even more than that girl's plea for help broke mine.And I'll tell you what else touched and troubled me - people's reactions on TV to their devestation. Yes, it was horrible how many were stranded in New Orleans. But the voice of anger that came from people that America wasn't there to help grieved me because they should've been looking to God, not man. Yes, we have our part in helping out humanity, definietly, but it made me think Who we should be crying out to. I saw bitterness and anger amoungst the crowds on TV, and it made me check my own heart, to see if that's how I react to my Lord when He's not giving me what I want at that moment in time. Do I get bitter and angry against God, or do I humbly trust His will and His ways? Sadly, some circumstances in my life have set me against the Lord for a time. I would find myself unwilling to pray. [shaking head] So sad. Recently I've had the opportunity to react appropriately to a circumstance in my life, and at first I was crushed and had a hard time praying, but now I see that I have a chance to draw closer to God and become more intimate with Him. And not just now when I need Him to carry me through a trial, but always close by His side so I can hear His voice and know His will.

That is a great question. It am new to this site, so if I walk a little harder than you are use to please forgive me, it is the way I am, to speak my heart cause the days are short and there are people dying and going to hell because so many preachers are afraid to speak the truth. 1st Jesus would reach out with compassion as the "Good Samaritan" teaching, taking care of the needs of the hurting. There are so many verses that talk about overcoming and growing from our failures, I think Jesus wants people to learn from their mistakes, to repent from the sin that lead up to the problem to begin with. Which is another what would Jesus do. He would send a messenger to warn the Sodom and Gomorrah life style is not going to be meerly winked at by God and that there are absolute moral standards to live our lives by in the bible. If people choose to thunb them up to God and laugh in His face concerning them,ie, "celebration of decadence" then they should not be surprized when God walks away taking with Him His protection, help and provision. I emphasise the repent part of this because unless America has just been on some kind of bad luck streak the last 10 years or so, I would say God has been warning us over and over and over, America needs someone to wake up and realize that God is not playing around, America needs to repent or we have not seen anything yet. Are there any big time preachers telling it the way it is? I am sure David Wilkerson will or may have today, haven't heard his sermon from this morning. Luk 13:5 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. I'm not so sure that we'er not seeing the Lord Jesus act now , but through His Body of Believers. On the other hand? I don't believe that He would have reacted to this situation. He is God and knows the end from the begining. So He would have known what was going to happen far in advance and would have sat Soverien over every little detail even if He didn't go in person. We really have to get into our heads that Jesus Christ is God, eternal, soverien, fully in control of every event in the world, wether we like it or not. He upholds all things by the Word of His might(power). Not even a sparrow falls to the ground without God's knowledge. I rest in that

I don't believe that He would have reacted to this situation.Jesus reacted to things when he walked the earth..Mat 8:10 When Jesus heard [it], he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel. Was Jesus surprized by this man's faith? Yes Jesus knew the end from the begining but that doesn't mean he doesn't react.Just a thought..
