Are you talking about revival?

I am praying for it. And God is doing things in our church that I would have never expected 3 years ago: evangelism, prayer during worship, laying on of hands during the service, etc. I'm waiting for the sky to tear open and see the conviction of sin pour through the congregation like a thunder clap.

I believe only the remnant of God will experience Revival.We were in Services for three nights, recently, and the Preaching was good, but at the end of it, there wasn't any repentance.I personally feel like we need to repent as the BOdy of Christ. The Church.God BlessNellie

I think Revival is coming, I do believe in God showing His mercy and pouring out His spirit at least one more time.God BlessJosh

[font=Helvetica]Is It Coming?[/font] I am ministering into Southern Ireland. For one thousand years it has lay in darkness, tradition and religion. While the 1859 Revival came to Northern Ireland, the 1904 Revival to Wales, the Lewis Revival to Scotland and a host of others to these lands, Ireland continued untouched. I really believe Irelands day is at hand. Men like David Wilkerson, B.H. Clendennen and Carter Conlon (there messages can be found on this sight) have been ministering into this land over the past 3-4 years with a confidence that a Visitation of God is coming. Men like Duncan Campbell prophesied of this. We have just opened a New European Bible School in this land. There is a great freshness amongst a host of new believers. I have long known the darkness, apostacy and barreness of Britain. Maybe God has preserved this once Catholic dominated land for this hour, for Revival. A small land, a weak land with little resourses, yet with a history of taking the Gospel back to Europe 1500 years ago. Just in the past 10 years three major things have happened, i) Economic boom, money pouring in from Europe, new roads, jobs etc. ii) A flood of African imigrants as well as those from across Europe, Poland, Russia etc. iii) Sexual abuse in the Catholic Church amongst priests becoming very public, a confidence in this false church greatly shook. In Dublin attendance at the Mass over a ten year period went from 90% to 10%. I believe God is preparing a young, pure, un-noticed church in this land to again reach out to PRODIGAL EUROPE. God always sends Revival to quicken and raise up His Church to fulfil His Commission.(much more to share but all for now).

That's incouraging !! I also believe the world will see yet one more great move of God in the midst of His church.That's my hope, and that's what I labor toward, as we all do. God Bless Bro. Daryl

Is it possible that revival could come in a way that is different than what I've normally thought it would be like? Maybe the remnant church will once more see the fires of Smithfield and bring glory to the Lord by not denying the Lord unto death. Perhaps an evil world will recognize the truth when the remnant church willingly dies instead of denying the Lord.In Christ,GaryE

Genuine revival will sure bring persecution and persecution will drive genuine believers still deeper in their God. Have you read Scott's Worthies? A persecuted Remnant, yet who can deny it was revival. During the 1640's they saw great outpourings of the Holy Ghost. Thousands saved in the feilds. Just read of men like Peden, Welsh, Knox, Wishart and a host of others. They walked with God, spoke for God and many died. One said he walked to the scaffold (his death) with less intrepedation than he went to his wedding day.

Is "IT" Coming? I believe that God is sifting out a remnant, that will be loyal, and faithful to Him. He will anoint this remnant to GO and preach the true Word of God to all that will listen..This is what is coming..Dan:11-33 And they that understand among the people shall instruct many: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by the flame, and by spoil, many days.23: Now when they shall fall, they shall be helped with a little help: but many shall cleave to them with flatteries.24: And some of them of understanding shall fall, to try them, and to purge, and to make white, even to the time of the end: because it is yet for a time appointed. I agree Greg. It will be glorious and dangerous. I actually had the scripture quoted in mind when I posted the last. From a child I have longed and looked that Christ would come in His glory, I have preached and prayed accordingly. I have no doubts a great move of God is coming, not just out of personal conviction but on the basis of the Word. It is the promise of scripture that he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.Throughout the Word the promise of outpourings and visitations is very real. Something I find very marked is that the Prophets rebuked sin, seen things for what they were. Never were scared to fully see, reveal and challenge the apostacy and declention in Israel. They were rejected, scorned and mocked. Imprisioned, wept, cried aloud and at times despaired. YET, these same prophets carried and proclaimed some of the greatest promises of REVIVAL. They could see afar off the Glory of the latter house. Their prayers were prayers for Revival. Some might mock us as prophets of doom, but for those who follow the examples of the Prophets we will be just as much prophets of Revival.

P.S. I have heard men like Ravenhill, Wilkerson and Cendennen being called negative, prophets of doom and legalists. Yet their preaching carries more hope of genuine revival, glory and righteouness than any I have heard. Yes it is coming, He is coming, Praise God.

From my perspective, it just seems that God is moving more and more in our church. I went forward one Sunday and prayed for God to crucify my pride and heal my sickness, while two of the staff prayed over me. Lots of tears and brokenness, like a mini-salvation. The month-old sickness and my pride began to break, which I don't think was a coincidence.We started a Wednesday night prayer service, and a few of us continue after the service is over for another hour or so, praying for God to do things in us and others.I have been praying for God to move on my wife within the month, and out of nowhere Sunday she said she wanted to start going back to church after thinking much about the subject. I have tried many things, the latest being to just try to ask God every day, sometimes twice or more a day, for God to change her, and asking Him within a specific time frame. The other half of this strategy has been to stop tithing for her, and to just leave her alone more, and just ask questions about her present faith. Being more pully than pushy.A guy I graduated high school with, but didn't know well, joined our church out of nowhere, and turns out he is going to start a Spanish-speaking ministry with us. I talked to him about what evangelism efforts were going on with our church, and he replied he had more of a heart for reaching people one-on-one in places where most don't go preach. He very quickly won me over with that comment.My other buddy is teaching evangelism classes, and some of the people are falling under conviction while my buddy is doing 'mock' one-on-one witnessing using students in the class. One of the people said they wanted to meet with him outside of class to talk about his conviction. Very cool.Don't think that our church is any different than yours if you are not seeing God. I would have probably doubted it if someone had told me three years ago what our church was seeing today. We haven't seen revival yet, but brokenness is seeming to be evident in more and more people as the weeks go by. Very exciting.I believe that if revival is seriously heart-sought, heart-serious revival will be discovered. Something about seeking and finding.

I wouldn't ask "Is it coming?" but rather "Lord what must you do in my heart for revival to come?" Once we begin to do that in earnest, He will begin to show what needs to be done in our hearts for revival to come.

Since then there have been many documented revivals which have seen far more saved and nations shook over a short space of time. Suerly these were greater than on the day of pentecost? At that time the religious authorities were corrupt, they had fallen into apostcay even though they had the truth in there hands and outward form. Rome ruled as a world empire and the christians were deeply persecuted while yet experiencing true, real revival. It will be no different at the end of the age- REVIVAL and PERSECUTION. There is no contradiction in the greatest apostacy and the greatesr revival together at the same time
