I thought this would be a good question.Truly how much 'power' does satan and the demons have??Use only verses of the bible.I know thinking back of when i read some of the OT, angels had power to kill. Maybe this goes for all of them. How much power does Satan have?How much power does demons/unclean spirits/etc. have?How much power does Michael/Gabreial have?How much power does angels have?

I read that in a theology book a while back, and have taken that into consideration while reading passages concerning the angel of the LORD, which is why I made the distinction. It seems that Scripture speaks synonymously of the work of the LORD and the work of His angels/the angel of the LORD.Gen 16, compare (Sarai):11 "the angel of the LORD said unto her"13 "she called the name of the LORD that spake unto her, Thou God seest me"Gen 18, compare (Abraham and Lot):1 "the LORD appeared unto him"2"he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him"19:1 "there came two angels to Sodom at even"It is possible this was Christ with two angels visiting Abraham. They ate butter and milk just like Jesus did:Isaiah 714b "Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel"22 "for the abundance of milk that they shall give he shall eat butter" Then there were only two angels entering Sodom, but three men ate with Abraham. There are also two angels on both sides of the mercy seat. There were also two angels in Jesus' tomb. And his chains fell off from his hands."The chains represent death. I haven't found a Scripture to shows that the angel of the LORD is definately Christ, and not an angel that represents Him.
