With Ravenhill quoted all over this site I went ahead and purchased "Why Revival Tarries"...Will read it as soon as I finish "Knowledge of the Holy"....I did read the first couple of chapters. Either he influenced Jim Cymbala...or they were both influenced by the same Source :)

I'm not familiar with Jim Cymbala (just watched one video sermon of him), do you mean in writing style, or in thier passions?

Jim Cymbala, has a church in New York, Brooklyn Tabernacle. His wife writes music and songs and the choir there of 250 sings some of the best music going today. They are truely anointed.Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir. This church sees true change in peoples lives, ie. drug addicts, homeless ect.

I am reading "Why Revival Tarries" right now. It is a great book that I recommend to all. After this, I will read, "Revival God's way" and then "Revival Praying". I enjoy reading Ravenhill because he is so genuine and I can feel his love for revival in the words.

I did read the first couple of chapters. Either he influenced Jim Cymbala...or they were both influenced by the same Source :)I believe they were both mostly influnced by E.M Bounds the "apostle" of prayer.
