A Call to Anguish - Audio and others

sermonindex Sep 26, 2005

I loved this.My comment is here.I've heard about 10 messages of David's so far. And this one, he is crying and weeping in his sermon. How many times has ur pastor/preacher/prophet/evanglist/teacher/whatever cried during their message?I'm not saying Crying justifies anything. But instead shows the heart. I know many pastors, oh some are great, but their heart is light and free, but David's is heavy with a burden of God.Oh, let's pray for His heart, for His things from above to speak to us about such things that we must do.

Yesh,Interestingly, my youth pastor likewise is named David and likewise weeps during his sermons, especially when talking about the extent of God's grace and mercy. For, he is an ex-drug addict and has been on the receiving end of life's boot, yet he is also an amazing example of love and godliness that I rarely see in our complacent society. Also, my pastor is occassioned to weep as well during his sermons. I would say that the Lord has blessed me with examples of tender hearts and strong convictions. It almost should be the norm that Christians would be weep over the lost of this world, for it is in the abundance of blood and tears that Christ committed His life to God's will on Gethsemane (Matt. 26:36-45; Mk. 14:32-42; Lk. 22:40-46)

Yea, it SHOULD be the norm. but sadly never will until His return.

Wouldn't it be awesome to see how far we can stetch the limit, though? I mean, I had a dream once where the world was covered with lights, growing in number, and then they suddenly vanished. I felt the Lord was saying that we can multiply greatly before His return...Oh, that we'd just learn to obey. "The highest doesn't stand without the lowest"; therefore, shouldn't we follow Jeremiah and John the Baptist in uprooting all sin in our lives, leaving a gaping hole for the Lord to fill? That just brings up so many thoughts of evangelism and hope: "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." ( 2 Chron. 7:14)

True Godly tears coming from a preacher meant thousands of tears in the prayer closet. I know preachers that start to cry at the end of most every service... Most of it is for show.I don't believe Wilkerson is doing it for show. This is an awesome sermon! No its not just a mere sermon but a Word. I bet this sermon doesn't even show the least bit of what has gone on in his prayer closet. Messages of God are birthed in prayer and usually brought to the fullness as the preacher is preaching.
