Why no revival?

If this is the case we can ask whatever we will, and it shall be done unto us. Please note that Jesus did not say “My Words” as interpreted by us, He said My Words. Without Him we can do nothing. The question we may want to ask is: why haven’t we seen revival if there are millions of Christians on this earth. Is it possible that His Word doesn’t abide in us, but rather an interpretation of His Word?Jesus also said:Mathhew 1820 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.Is it possible that we don’t have revival because most Christians don’t agree to accept the Words of Jesus, but rather agree on the Words of Jesus we are taught they should mean to us? I have been at gatherings of thousands all “gathered in His name.” They were not gathered in His name, they were gathered in the name of the Jesus of their individual denominations, and they believed they had the Words of Jesus as per their individual denominational interpretation abiding in them.We have to come to a point where individual Christian groups don’t even agree how to become born again, or what this even means. We have to find God first and our relationship to Him before we can ever come to revival.This is in my heart. I don’t mean to offend, but we can’t all be right, and yet have different interpretations of the One Word of God.

It’s not about who is right and who is wrong, but what is God Almighty telling each individual – through his word? Everything shall pass away, but his word shall never pass away. In the Beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word IS GOD. We can read a passage or a verse over and over and over and often times its one word or two words that all of a sudden jump right at you, and at that moment those few words speak LOUDER then a sentence/verse made up of 6 or 7 words.And for this I Praise Him He is a Mighty God, the lifter up of my head. He is Jehovah Jirah, my provider, and he his Jehovah Rapha my healer; he is my prince of peace, wonderful counselor, awesome God.He is the Great I AM, he is all that I need. He knows me better then I know myself, and I am learning to know him. Just One Word, JESUS – he is my exceeding reward. He pulls us out of the pit he washes away the miry clay. He holds us by our right hand so that we don’t slip. He wipes our tears away, and comforts our Soul.He is the Vine and we are the Branches, without him we can do nothing, but I’ll take it a little further then that – without him and without his WORD, I am NOTHING.

This was simply William Law's observations some 250 years ago. It was never intend to supplant the written word but there is a wealth of information that one can learn through this man.William Law, at least his early writings, heavily influenced many such as Whitford, both Wesley brothers, and Finney.
