A view of where the United Church of Canada is at:John Wesley made the following quote,"Give me one hundred preachers who fear nothing but sin and desire nothing but God, and I care not a straw whether they be clergymen or laymen, such alone will shake the gates of hell and setup the kingdom of God on earth"which the United Church decided to chop up as such:"Give me one hundred preachers who...desire nothing but God, and I care not a straw whether they be clergy or lay, such alone will...set up the kingdom of heaven upon earth."Notice the glaring omissions of SIN and HELL.This is the same church which has proceeded to ordain gay and lesbian ministers, as well as move forward with the Ecumenical movement here in Canada.source: http://www.united-church.ca/wesley/
