What is Jesus doing in your heart??

I read through the threads and see a lot of doctrinal discussions. There's certainly nothing wrong with that but it rarely changes another's position. So a new topic came to mind. What is Jesus doing in your life? (My pastor would phrase it a bit differently and would say something like that How is your heart with Jesus?)It's a simple question and it could involve sin he has exposed, victories he has won in your heart, or simply a testimony of how Jesus is changing your heart.

Throughout the past few months I have felt that God has posed this question to me. “Are you real? Do you really believe the words that come out of your mouth? Do you love me?” I have noticed how Jesus didn’t say “I love you” to much. He did act it though. It has been a battle of wills lately because part of me seems to run from God and into sin. The smart side wants to please Him, do his commandments because I show I love Him if I do what He says. “So many souls, just too scared to fightThey’re too worried about what people thinking of their life. How can you fight if you don’t lay down your pride? And how will anyone see if you won’t shine your light?Jesus gave us life when he went and died.So the least that I could do is give him all of mine.”----song by KJ-52--

Jesus is healing me of my past.Jesus is teaching me many new mysteries.Jesus is showing me how to minister to all groups of people. Black, white, and hispanic.Jesus is showing me disipline.Jesus is drawing me close to Him.

I've found God's will to be quite simple for His children- He wants us to reflect Him......to be the evidence of Him. I was looking at the moon the other night and I saw how, though it contains no light in itself, it reflects the light of the sun and illumines a darkened world. I thought about how, though the moon isn't the sun in any way, it brings evidence and likeness of the sun and exposes darkness.God desires us to look like His Son Jesus that we may be a reflection of Him to a darkened world; providing evidence that the DAY approaches where darkness will be completely swallowed up by the Light. For 4-5 years now, God has been stripping down "my life" and reducing me to a nobody. Painful? Yes, sometimes I desired death. However, He has been answering my soul's request that I may be His son. He has been destroying the "likeness of me" so that I maybe become nothing.......which is the prerequisite of obtaining the likeness of Him.As my love for my life and myself has been crumbling away, I have fallen more and more in love with God. Not inflaming emotions that come and go like the clouds, but real, true allegiance of the heart towards Him. I've explored and wrestled with many things I wish my heart was before Him and have come to find out that all those things are only the natural results of loving Him and despising all that doesn't come from Him.He has brought peace into my life that I didn't know existed. In the sense of being an American, I have lost everything ( career, education, music, friends, church life, entertainment, self-worth, dignity, fun living situation, plans of the future, family to a great extent, and many other ambitions)- these He has taken from me. However, those things, I find, were only things that I hid behind that I may not be exposed as what I really am.......nothing. Those things were vices that poisoned my soul and were stressful to uphold.A life of defending your pride is no way to live.By forcing me to come out from behind the decorated cardboard walls known as "my life", God has freed me from being a slave to myself and has made me a slave of Him. He has given me a real reason to live, Himself. I love Him because He first loved me and has redeemed me from this prison of flesh. His path is difficult because the flesh is never welcomed. Yet at this point, there's no other option because, on any other path, my heart isn't welcome. I am His even though I don't deserve Him.My desire (as far as myself goes) is that He reduce me to a nobody so that He can be seen more clearly through me.....without "me" getting in the way like stickers blocking the reflection in a mirror. As His son, I want to resemble Him as the moon's light resembles the sun to a dark world.Well, it's 2:00 am and I gotta get up and serve some breakfast tomorrow at work, so I'm goin' to bed. But that is what Jesus has been doing in my heart- conforming me to His image at the expense of me.He is a wonderful Father. But I'm only beginning to know what that means.Ernie

Thank you for sharing,He's making into a nobody as well. The work is not yet finished but oh what a glorious and painful process it is.As we often say at our church, "Jesus is enough." The Lord really encouraged me through your testimony as I'm walking down the same path. Isn't Jesus wonderful?

Habakkuk, you wrote: I read through the threads and see a lot of doctrinal discussions. There's certainly nothing wrong with that but it rarely changes another's position. This situation only appears to be the case for this point in time. As time goes on, God will use the truth to break through ones wall of resistance and he will use words that were said by others at different points in ones spiritual pilgrimage. So we should never despair when we speak the truth and we see little or no fruit.Frankly, I enjoy doctrinal discussions but hate it when it deteriorates into attacks on ones' personal intergrity. Doctrine is important because it teaches one how to live. What is Jesus doing in my life? He is working hard in changing me from glory to glory. I am constantly having to crucify my natural 'man'. In its stead I am finding sin more sinful. He is teaching me to be more discerning where I can more easily discern new age philosophies at work. The Lord has used life situations to bring me to where I am today. Some of these situations are still grevious, but I am learning to commit them all to HIM because I am not GOD! (I remember so distinctly one time so deeply grieved over our son's behaviour and wondered 'where have we gone wrong?' People say that a parent is like God to his children when little then when he grows up he can make that faith transition easier. As I was mulling this concept and asking where we failed, the Holy Spirits' voice came through so loud and clear: You be mom and let me be GOD!!! This often comes back to comfort me like nothing else can.)In conclusion, I am looking forword to going home to be with the LORD. We have raised five children, they have all left the nest and other then care for my DH (dear husband) there is no one left here at home to care for - not even a dog! lol In the meantime I want to be useful in God's kingdom until he sees that my purpose for living is finished.ginnyrose

God bless you and your husband today.

The question is what is he doingThe more i get closer to him, the more He shows me how much more i need Him. Revival starts in ONE person and it spreads like wildfire. If I dont allow it to start in me, how will it spread? the body of Christ sould be walking in unity. We cant walk in unity with each other until we walk in unity with HIM. The word says that we are supposed to walk according to Spirit, not according to the lust of the flesh. My cry is this:Jesus, make me like water, see through me, see You through me, NOTHING left of me to see, wash me in the word by the renewing of my spirit. May the eyes of my understanding be opened. REVIVAL- no matter what- may you receive the reward of Your suffering.
