Righteous anger

Just went looking at another so-called christian forum. I am appaulled at the acceptance of any and all doctrine, theology, and even religion(s) on this paticular forum (name withheld intentionally). So-called christians titling posts as "pubs", with the invite to come in and have a drink. Honoring Hollywood and its filth as its favorite pastime. Not even the discernment to realize evil in it's midst and giving praise to it (a particular popular movie). I noticed a broad spectrum of beleivers and beliefs. The sad thing about this is there are genuine christians there who are seeking help and not getting scriptural/biblical help. This forum has offended me and made me mad. It's made me ashamed to even call myself christian and be associated with these folks. Lack of discernment, ignorance, clinging to the world instead of seperation, accepting any and all.....just sickening. As Ravenhill spoke of years ago....God help us, God have mercy on the church, God help America, the judgement of God on this Blessed nation is coming. Sodom didn't have any Bibles and God judged them.SORRY FOR THE RANT!!

I agree. Some of the stuff is incredulous.There was a sermon that Pastor David (Wilkerson) preached some years back entitled "Christian in Name Alone or Name Only" I can't recall the exact title. My prayer for you, as well as myself and the entire body of Christ is that it would drive us to our knees.As far as judgement is concerned, I'm afraid to say that "Ichabod" adorns many so-called Christian churches and Jesus is standing outself trying to get in (Revelations 3).When I think of judgement, I often think of fire and brimstone which oftentimes occurs but God withdraws His presence and that judgement has already been pronounced on many churches.The sad thing about this is there are genuine christians there who are seeking help and not getting scriptural/biblical help. Amen! May God give us the discernment to reach out to those who seeking Christ and not finding Him. Surely there is a famine of the word of the Lord in the U.S. in this season of time.No apologies needed for the rant. Thank you for sharing your heart with us...

I do not know what website you are referring to, but I have seen a popular one with forums to suit different religions, including Moslems, Buddists,Christians, and etc. To me this smacks of commercialism. They are a big tent and use 'Christian' celebrities to entice Christian people to their website. Ugh!The wolf is prowling and he does wear sheeps' clothing! AMEN! to your rant!ginnyrose

ginnyrose the forum that you speak of does exactly that, no matter your religous preference, beliefs or what. How can you be a christian forum and accept atheist, agnostics, muslims, buddhist and the like. They have almost as much "space" for non-christians and even more for STUPID subjects that have little if any at all to do with christianity.Your right, Christ is trying to get back into his church. His bride has become a harlot (of course this is a general statement, there is still a remnant). Vanity,money perversion, pride, gluttony (of all kinds) has defiled her. This must break the heart of God. Jesus has to be weeping.
