I was wondering, how many of you are songwriters? I'm always looking to learn from somebody about writing songs.thanks,-james

What an interesting question, james.The Lord has given me little songs, recently. Is that what you meant?I know enough about music to be able to write them down. Your question makes me ask this one....Are there any who receive songs from the Lord, but need help in putting them on paper?

Yeah, have you ever tried recording any of your songs? I can read/notate music but its not my strongpoint.

I don't have fancy equipment, but yes.... using the basic voice recorder on Windows. I warn you, the songs are basic too. One is ok for solo or congregational worship, but the other needs a confident group of singers, who like a little challenge.And you?

I have written two or three when the words came. I have not been inspired to do so daily or anything like that, but have tinkered.

God has given me songs, and He also gave me the music to them.I have some songs Copyrighted.They were all given by God, through the Holy Spirit, for I can't read Music, and I sing and play the Guitar by ear.He hasn't given me any lately, but I know He can inspire me to write more.I would love to read the Words of some of the Songs that God has given anyone on SI.Happy New Year.God BlessNellie :-)

This is great to know. I'm happy to meet you guys. I, too, pray for God to give me the content and music for His glory. I believe it is my calling. I know that i still have a long way to go with the side of writing spiritual songs as well as the craft of composing/lyric-writing and arranging.
