my friend has decided to send 2 cds to his pastor, i reccomended the revival hymn, can any one please share there thoughts on what would be another hard hitting sermon to send to him? he was thinking ten shekels or weeping between the altar & the porch, or the judgement seat, your prayers & thoughts would be great

You could send the Ravenhill Interview in windows media format too. It's long but very good and hard-hitting. I downloaded the video from SermonIndex and converted it to 2 mp3 files so it now fits on two audio cd's.

Ravenhill might be too strong for some Pasors, they might think you are attacking them or thier methods. Why don't you just tell him to go to the SI website and let the Spirit guide hiim to the sermons to listen too.

I would agree with the Ravenhill video interview. Brother Len is speaking to interviewers so he is very polite, though his words are still piercing, as usual.

Why don't you just tell him to go to the SI website and let the Spirit guide hiim to the sermons to listen too.I totally agree. I gave the same advice to a friend of me last week. You could recommend some speakers to him however, that will make it a bit easier. I would recommend preachers like: Art Katz, Jim Cymbala, David Wilkerson, Carter Conlon, Vance Havner and Ray Comfort. It is a great idea, brother! I wished the preachers at our Church would listen to these kinds of sermons more :)...but well...in the core, I don't care if they listen to the sermons here or whatever...as long as they take time to listen to Jesus and therefore spend time reading and meditating His word!Your brother,Paul

I agree with directing the pastor to this website, though leaving the REVIVAL HYMN with him might spark his interest.I am with GNN, an evangelistic organization that promotes the use of Way of the Master evangelism. I have much exerience with trying to convince other Christians and pastors to give WOTM a chance, to look into how the use of the Law in the Gospel message is not only Biblical but has been used by Whitfield, Finney, Wesley, Moody, and others. When I first started doing this, I came on too strong, giving people handfuls of CD's and sample gospel tracts, along with 15-minute lectures on why WOTM is so great...I didn't discover WOTM that way...I came across it by chance and because I wasn't being pushed into it, I invested more interest.I discovered SI through a friend who left the REVIVAL HYMN along with some other audio messages on it, and it was months before I really listened to it...that took me to FIRE ON THE ALTAR.com and then to SI.-Chris

Considering you did mention 'hard hitting'...A Call to Anguish by David Wilkerson Could say it is as much from one pastor to another as it is to all of us.Think practically any of the others you mentioned or also recommended by others as well. Don't think you could go wrong, maybe just a mention to your friend to pray over whatever he decides to send.
