Edit: Moderator adjustment (Mike)Dom,Your url does not work in the manner you posted it. This was noted elsewhere, but please check by using the Preview button to see if what you are posting actually works. Continuous letter sequences such as XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX where they overlap into consecutive lines will cause the page to be displayed out of proportion. It is similar with links.Often the best use of the URL button in posting is to copy the address link by highlighting the content on another page, clicking the URL button, pasting in what you copied, clicking "OK" and when the next box comes up; "Enter the web site title" to give it a name that corresponds. I corrected yours in this manner.halley's bible handbookJust a heads up
There are 11 of them on ebay right now; amazon.com would be my second source. Ebay UK is a good place to go for many the UK preachers and teachers of the past.OOPs there are 52 more in the ebay stores, check the shipping and handling charges FIRST, there are a lot of sellers that sell stuff for 99 cents then charge 12 dollars for shipping and handling and charge extra for insurance and express service. The used ones on amazon are 3 to 5 dollars
I am making no comments at all about the following information that I was rather sad to read two or three days ago concerning Halley's Bible Handbook. As someone has asked about buying a copy, I thought I ought to point the following out to make sure you get the complete unabridged version:"The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association published a special “Crusade Edition” (1962, 1964, 1969) of Halley’s Bible Handbook and boldly removed Halley’s careful documentation of the evil of the popes and the slaughter of true Christians. Zondervan published a revised edition of Halley’s Bible Handbook in 2000, which likewise eliminated references to the RCC’s heresies and the millions of evangelical Christians slaughtered by Rome. Instead, itsays: “The Roman Catholic Church responded to the Protestant Reformation by reforming and renewing itself.” When challenged about its lies, Stan Gundry, Zondervan’s Vice President and Editor-in-Chief responded, “The purpose of the rewriting was...to give a more balanced portrayal of the history of Christianity.” Whitewashing Roman Catholic doctrine and practice and leaving out the slaughter of millions of Christians gives a “more balanced” history?! ..." copied from "The Berean Call" January 2006. www.thebereancall.orgSue
I was really looking for a PDF or other version that was FREE online, but it appears that Zondervan's copyright would leave me with little hope on that. I will check the local Christian bookstore and save up $...
Our Halley's Bible Handbook was copyrighted 1965 by Halley's Bible Handbook, Inc.; printed by Zondervan and it has all the information that was elimninated by BGEA. So if you want to buy one it might be a good idea to check the copyright and who printed it.Another Bible handbook that is good is Unger's Bible Handbook, copyrighted 1966, printed by Moody Press. It competes with Halley's and I really do not know what one is the best. Both are good for what they are. ginnyrose
I had no idea, so how far back do you have to go? The early 1950's
I got that book from my father. It is a great book that provides a lot of insight into the many books of the bible. My edition has the part about the RCC madness and I can see why some people would want it out...very eye -opening.But to answer your question, I don't know where you can find one for free online.God Bless
