I was at a auction and the last item for bid was a box of books. I didnt have time to exam the whole box but I did see a book by Tozer in it. So my bid won. To my amazement there were well OVER 100 books, and all the books were classics. Every Tozer book, Every Ravenhill book, Nee, Murray, Wesley, Finney, you name it-it was in there. I sat there in a daze! All the books were owned by one christian who passed away. This to me was a pot of gold. ALL FOR $3.OO!!!!!!I praise God for such a blessing!! That only happens once in a life time :-(

Yes, praise God brother. I rejoice with you. The same kind of thing happened to me a year or two ago. I paid $20 I think for a book shelf and all the books on it. It had many great classic books on it including Ravenhill and Wilkerson. I then asked the man in charge of the auction if he had seen any preaching messages on tape from Wilkerson and he said....Oh yeh there were hundreds of them but I threw them away because nobode wants to hear a bunch of old preaching messages. I sighed and said if you only realized what you threw out.Ed, I also have searched for the original Hebrew by Helen Spurrell and actually found a copy of it somewhere in Texas but they wanted a couple of hundred dollars for it. I just couldn't get myself to buy it for that much. If anyone does know where I could get a copy I would be very interested to know where and how much.God bless and enjoy your new pot of gold.Mike

It sounds like you were at an Estate Sale and bought a Library that took a lifetime to collect. I did the same thing and the books set on my shelf for years before I started to read them. I got the idea that owning them would some how make me a better Christian. I still have quite a few to read and hope I live long enough to read them.Pray and ask the Lord to lead you in selecting which one to read first. In fact, list the books here and ask the people here. Some very mature Christians cannot only suggest where to start but why. God is blessing you, and I am still praying. Your Brother in ChristP.S. Here is a thought for you; you spent a dollar for the Father, and a dollar for the Son, and a dollar for the Holy Spirit. A dollar is an interesting sum of money, because it is the minimum amount to bind you into a contract.
