John 9:4

The context of this verse is that of the healing of a man who was blind from birth. The disciples look at the man and can only think of who's fault it is that he's blind, "who did sin?", they ask. Jesus looks at the man and sees an opportunity for God to be glorified. I think this verse is about looking for and taking ahold of opportunities that come our way every "day". Time and opportunities should not be wasted for who knows if you'll be here tomorrow. It will be too late to work out your salvation when the "night" of death comes.In verse 5 Jesus says He is the light of the world, in both His inward life and His outward teaching and deeds He shows the world the will of God and manifests His glory. John 9:35-41 Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God? He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him? And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee. And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him. And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind. And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also? Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth.This is our opportunity to "see". All that are born in sin and are blind only have to believe that Jesus Christ is the "Son of God", as the blind man eyes were opened to see much more than just his receiving his sight.Are we believing what the Holy Spirit is saying to us about this Christ that is born again in us.Yes, this Jesus is our new sight into the things of the Kingdom of God, by which we in Him are able to see what great salvation we have in Him.John 9:36-38 He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him? Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him. I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.” (John 9:1-4, KJVS)If we change the punctuation we could read.“And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: But that the works of God should be made manifest in him I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.” (John 9:1-4 re-punctuated.) I have removed the full-stop/period after 'him'. In fact the word translated 'but' is usually translated 'and' which would carry the flow much more sweetly.
