I open-air preached for my first-time today, and I recorded the message. Just so you guys know I am 16, so this stuff is pretty new to me. I'm not as mature in the Faith as most of you are, so my speech isn't really, well, eloquent! However all I know is Christ, so that I find to be enough, and Paul with his colossal intellect found Christ to be all as well. I tell you folks that in my mind I had a grasp of what I would be doing, how it would go, but only once you start the actual preaching of the Gospel do you feel what it's really like. In simple terms, you pour your soul out! These people were primarily skating; they were from the ages of 12 to 18, about 11-13 in all. I am planning to go as well after school, near the high school, to where there are even more people congregated once school is out to preach there. At the light there are many people that cross the street to walk home, so I am planning (probably Monday, God willing) to go there and stand up and proclaim the Gospel! These folks though were very attentive to me... it was amazing the reaction I got. They all stopped skating for around 11 minutes to hear me. A lot of them even applauded at the end! I didn't know what to think of that, but I knew that I preached Christ crucified, so I was joyful that most seemed to receive it with glad tidings. I pray that they do not go to bed tonight, and that they do indeed turn to Christ and turn away from their sin! These folk though I am guessing have grown up in the Church; some may have not, so I must communicate either way the justice, wrath, and love that is in God through Christ. I will be back to preach more and more, and if they truly desire to seek after the truth, maybe they will embrace me and I can disciple them! Let God have all the glory, either way! I do expect though that they as well could easily not embrace me, and may get tired of me, at least the older folk. The older folk seemed to take me as a joke, I must say, and the younger folk seemed to be awe-struck by my message... oh dear, that we would be as these little children! Here is the message: http://www.christiansteps.com/jordan/js_preaching001.mp3Thanks to Jimmy for the web space! Please pray that God would put it in their hearts to repent and turn to Christ!
