VICTORIAN FIRES Light rain is now starting to fall in parts of Victoria, but it's not expected to lessen the burden for fire crews, who might still be facing a long battle ahead to extinguish the blazes. Tireless work from firefighters has resulted in no reported loss of property, in what was predicted to be a horror Australia day in Victoria. There are four affected regions in the state, they are the Grampians, several townships north of Geelong, Kinglake east of Melbourne and the Gippsland area. The Halls Gap area also remains under threat. Residents who have stayed in the areas affected are hosing down properties to protect themselves from burning embers raining down on the towns. In the Kinglake National Park helicopters are water bombing hot spots as flames creep within 750m of major power lines. In the Grampians area 24 homes have now been lost along with 60,000 head of sheep. There is no sign of rain to bring relief to fire fighters just yet. Im wondering, would you guys be able to Pray for the people who live in those area's and just Australia in general, and with them raging, God's presence needs to be around those who have lost family members or peers or friends in the blazes and for the fighters and voulenteers who are battling with the blaze, and sometimes to them it feels its a battle they can't win. Could you guys please pray that no more fire's break out anywhere in Australia. And that the fire fighters and voulenteers can have the courage to stand up against the blazes and be able to put them out and save the area's and town and peoples lives.
