Has anyone here read or studied THE SHEPHERD OF HERMAS?It seems to be heralded as the "Pilgrim's Progress" of the 2nd century, given in allegory.It was even included in an early edition of the New Testament (the Codex Sinaiticus.)Your collective input is appreciated!-Chris

Tertullian rejected the Shepherd as 'apocryphal and false'. There seems to have been quite a bit of opposition to it. Its inclusion in the Sinaiticus may be seen by some, not as a testimony to the acceptance of the Shepherd, but as a further cause of doubt as the the 'orthodoxy' of the Sinaiticus.edit: you will find more here.
