Crazy weather

sermonindex Feb 15, 2006

We all know that around the world, things are getting 'crazy'. I heard this from a ministry. Can someone tell me if this is true. If it is, it is SHOCKING."In Russia, I read where the temperatures were minus 45 degrees, the coldest in a century. It’s so cold there the homeless are assaulting police in an attempt to get arrested – reasoning it’s better to be alive in jail, than dead out in the cold."

I dont know about the homeless assaulting the police, but the temperature you quoted is correct. It's dangerously cold there this winter.Krispy

Hi Krispy...If possible, could you send a little of that "cold" down to south Texas? It was a sadly warm winter. While alot of people love winter temperatures in the 80s, I prefer to have at least some cold weather. :-P

It's been quite warm here in western North Carolina. We finally got some cooler weather this weekend accompanied by an inch of snow... but the last two days it's been 60 degrees. I'm afraid I dont have any cold weather to send ya!But I aint complainin'. 60 degrees in February is sure better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick!Krispy

Our weather on the Atlantic coast of Canada has been up and down, cold and warm. We were blanketed with snow on the weekend, it was great, but now the snow is melting because its getting warm. But we'll have another cold snap and more snow, and more melting. It's crazy. I love the snow, and want more of it.

Hello folks; So ya wanna talk bout the weather eh. If this here is global warming, well you can sign me up. Here in the normally blustery freezing north, we have been having a jim dandy winter. The temperature is 8-10 degrees warmer than normal, and the verrrrrry bestest thing is THERE IS NO SNOW! By this time of the year, we can have 4-6 feet of the yuckkkkky stuff on the ground, but this year, there is NONE-ZERO-NARRY A BIT. Tonight it is going to get really cold (-25 Canadian degrees) but by the weekend it will be back above normal.. Ya just gotta love it..Don't hardly have to put on the tougue, and I went and bought a new one last fall, well maybe just gonna wear it anyway..Greg

So ya wanna talk bout the weather eh. If this here is global warming, well you can sign me upMe too. No complaints in Ohio. The problem with "global warming" is that it's used to explain both warm weather and cold weather and everything in between. When a theory is used to explain everything, it really doesn't explain anything.MC

My mother in law says that this weather is one of the signs that Jesus will be back soon. I'm not sure what part of scripture she found that in, but I don't know that I disagree...

My mother in law says that this weather is one of the signs that Jesus will be back soonYour Mother in law was reading David Wilkerson's book the Vision that he wrote back in 1973. Though Wilkerson spoke of things that he'd seen, which he coupled that with, "I believe" what will happen beyond what he said was "hazy".In other words he said he couldn't see beyond the next decade so he inserted what he believed would happen, but it wasn't apart of the original vision. A flaw we ministers make. The Vision began to unravel in the 80's with drastic weather changes which has continued until our day.A chapter which he called a "flood of filth" came in 1995 with the advent of the Internet. He said this would be piped into every home. Thank God for Net Nanny. I remember listening to CBN back in 2002 where one European Union official declared that a worldwide recession is near and he listed the countries that would be effected which Wilkerson wrote in the first chapter of the Vision. In the book he stated that he saw a recession, not a depression. In recent years he has gone from recession to depression. Brother Wilkerson should re release that book it's right on target.

Hey, ya'll! I ain't complaining neither! We had so much sun this past fall and winter it made our 'mators so big! We even had a lot of them weighing over one pound!!! Now, what about global warming??? If Russia is so dreadfully cold and we are warmer then usual, should this not balance it all out? ginnyrose

How long ago was it when Europe was having deading heat? That was crazy, people going to the hospital and dying. I'm not talking about the black plague.Forget Mr.Wilkerson even though I love that man. The bible clearly speaks about all of this. But, then again, if you look at history there were 'little scares' about Christ coming back, including the black plague. With the whole Israel deal and weather and sin increasing. Also, the body of Christ slowly coming in unity. I think it all points to one thing. Christ's second coming.Well, any other crazy reports?Any earthquakes, tsunami's, cyclone's, etc.

Speaking of crazy weather... I live in southern New Hampshire. Today was almost 60 degrees! All week has been very warm and this is following a noreaster! Accoring to the weather report, it's going to get down to the single digits this weekend w/ winds up to 70 MPH. That will be something like a 50 degree drop in less than 24 hours. This is very strang... even for New England!!

Talk about crazy weather....in the early 1900s there was a day long remembered by the people who lived then. It was in October, the day was hot and sultry. During the night the temperature dropped 80 degrees! Chickens that were outside roosting in the trees froze, baby calves out in the pasture froze.... Now you all better get your chickens in ....ginnyrose

Want to know about snow??? I can tell you! Last Sunday we had 24 inches. Churches were closed. Last week schools were closed more than they were open. A lot of people had no electricity for three days. Today schools and many roads are closed again. Last night we had THUNDERSNOW (according to the news) - lightning, thunder, sleet, rain, snow all at once followed by snow and blizzard today. Yesterday I was in church preparing for rehearsal, and the power went out while precipitation was pelting against the windows. Freeky weather. I know why. It's because of some nearby Siberian huskies. Before last week we had a warm winter with no snow. This did not please the huskies, whose sled-pulls kept getting cancelled due to rain. So I wrote an article in the paper about them entitled: "Huskies make a wish for snow." And boy, did that happen! But, then, this is Canada, so it is normal. In fact, in the past we used to get a lot more snow.If you don't hear from me for a few days, it will likely be because we lost power. That looks like a possibility as the winds are howling more and more by the minute. Diane

I don't believe one word what scientist are saying is the root cause for these strange happenings in the weather. David Wilkerson wrote in his book the vision that scientist would be baffled over what is taking place. I know that they are saying it's because of the ozone layer, the polar ice caps melting, El Nino etc.. But I believe what the prophet has said is true, they don't know, and they are pulling together theories and sending them out as facts. In my humble opinion, I think we are in the middle of a shifting. Scientist are saying that we are heading for [another] Ice Age. We have been hammered with evolution and Darwinism to the place we have incorporated his thoughts into creation. We have never been in an Ice Age. I believe what the word says:Genesis 8:22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease. The big lie that caused Eve to sin, "Hath God said" is being told again, "What if".Remember the whole world was engulfed in water at one time, and it took less than a year for it to subside and settle. There are people that believe in natural events when interpreting what happened in Moses day while at the Red Sea. They tell us that in East wind blew all night long and which pulled back the waters of the shallow part of the sea of reeds. But what they fail to mention is the miracle that followed that they walked on a dry sea bed. This is only one method of making God out to be some figment our imagaination.Karl
