PRAY FOR MY BROTHER

R
roaringlamb Feb 17, 2006

Please pray for my brother Phill. He and another brother named Eric are going to Sudan from February 17 until March 7. They are going to preach, teach, and put in wells. Please pray for the people there as it is a very dark place, and even the professing Christians there are enamored by the local witchdoctors. I thank you in advance for your prayers, and I hope to post updates if I receive them.By His blood, for His gloryPat

I love my brother more than words can express, and sometimes that is the hard part when he goes over to Sudan, but our Lord has been and is faithful, and He is good so it is a joyful surrender to these things that m ake it a blessing.Thank you all for your prayers! Here is an update:Patter(my nickname) I didnt get to call and pray with you so Im e mailing from a pay per use computer in london. Phew, that's heavy brother.I can't even imagine what your heart is going through. How I would feel if it were my own beloved brothers. But as I read, I saw you and he rejoicing and doing the victor's dance before the Throne.1Pe 1:7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold thatperisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ. We'll continue to remember Phil and Eric and that He Will be Glorified by them.Lord God strengthen your heart also.Annie

(This is from my sister-in-law)I just got this from Eric's wife Tammy; they were stopped at a checkpoint this morning. Police in 3rd world countries are VERY different, & she said they were really hassling them. She had just gotten through to Eric when this happened, and was disconnected. She is waiting to hear back from him. I'll let you all know as I hear from her. XOXO -----Original Message-----From: projecth20@adelphia.netTo: projecth20@adelphia.netSent: Mon, 20 Feb 2006 12:26:37 -0500Subject: urgent prayerJust got off the phone with eric this morning about 9:20am our time and the police had pulled them over and Justin was not wearing a seatbelt, the police were giving them a hard time. (This is from my sister-in-law)I just got this from Tammy, and an email from Suzy (who I guess must be with them). God is with them -----Original Message-----From: projecth20@adelphia.netTo: projecth20@alelphia.netSent: Mon, 20 Feb 2006 13:32:31 -0500Subject: praise God!!Gods timing is awsome!! I have to share the details. Before I called Eric this morning I was reading Psalm 37:39 "The Lord saves the godly! He is their refuge salvation and their refuge when trouble comes. Because they trust in him, he helps them and delivers them from the plots of evil men." Then I called Eric, and it said all international call are not going thru call back later. I called again and prayed if it be the lords will i could get thru. Well I did and Eric quickly told me the prayer request I sent out to you all. I just talked to Eric , He said they were at a check point and Justin was not wearing a seatbelt and wanted to take him to jail Sabet one of the missionaries with them that lives their said give us a ticket they said no they need to take him to jail, Suzy, Sabets wife intervened and said let me call his boss or their boss I'm not sure.... at this point Eric and I lost connection and we are still have phone trouble. But I do know they are o.k. and safe... I can't put into words how thankful I am to have every one Praying!!!! while I was praying that song "How great is our God" was on the radio,, Isn't this the truth... I will keep you updated.. They are safe Praise God!!!

From my brother-Patter I am so blessed, on Sunday when we got here we went to a craft market in nairobi. While we were there I was wearing shorts and sandals and some guy asked me if I was a rastafarian, I told him I wasnt and he asked me if I was a Christian as in africa having my tattoos would lead most to believe I was a satan worshipper. Well I started sharing with this guy who was a vendor and a rastafarian, a small crowd gathered and I started preaching about corruption of man and about cults and false christianity and holy living and finally of salvation, God worked so well and this rastafarian told me I was the best christian he ever met and he would begin to read the bible not just smoke and pray. Hey who thought I would wait till I was in africa to start street preaching. I just had lunch with the regional director of samaritan's purse with Sebat and man God is working. this morning he renewed the vision he gave me on thurs and last night Sebat and I stayed up late and we talked of personal holiness , santification and leaving sin to the point of sinlessness. He was so blessed as he told me just the week before he was laying in bed tired and he just prayed from there, it was the first time ever he had ever prayed in bed and was so shocked that God allowed him to not formally pray. Man I am so excited to come here in this season I look forward to the oppsition of witch doctors in Tonj and not shrug in fear, I am truly learning how to truly follow God. I think it was psalm 25 I read this morning you should read it ok I love you guys and wait to spend time with you all. Hey pray for our rasta friend Andy.
