Seems like when you think you have heard it all, here comes something new...Check out this article which discusses clergy signing a paper affirming their belief in evolution. Here is the link:http://headlines.agapepress.org/users/AFO/afo2.aspginnyrose

Zimmerman says the Clergy Letter Project was initiated in response to [against] efforts to get intelligent design or biblical creation taught in schools.Haven't these 'churches' anything better to do then celebrate "Evolution Sunday?" How is it a pastor can't at least concede Intelligent Design within the context of billions of years? Why do they have to insist on nature and chance as the deus ex machina...and not God himself? What am I missing here? After reading that article, these familiar passages came to mind... perhaps in a new light."All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made...and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not." MC

I wonder how long it will be until clergy will quit using a religious vocabulary to maintain their jobs and just plain admit they are the devil's henchmen?! and are only interested in fleecing people?! ginnyrose

They are nothing but fools!

Healingwaters,I generally respect your posts, but calling people fools is dangerous. The genome doesn't lie and it tells us that all of life is interrelated. Bub

As God set off the Big Bang, Intellegent design is an appropriate conception of the development of life on earth. While it took billions of years, the universe was designed by God to produce life. But then Darwin was not an athiest and said basically the same thing. Unless you hold to a literalist interpretation of the Bible there really is no argument here.Bub
