I post this with a burden in my heart. Pray, Saints, PLEASE PRAY!...Dear Reader,In the recent weeks and months, I have watched with growing concern as attacks against Christians have stepped up almost a hundred fold in Asia.As you are probably aware, we have recently published accounts of students being beaten while on outreach, pastors facing death threats and radio producers being attacked with iron rods. And one report we received just the other day described the agony a young Bible college student is facing: Because of his faith in Jesus, militant Hindus are now threatening violence against his family unless he renounces Christ. How do we deal with this issue of persecution? Perhaps it is even more important to ask: Can we help bring about change? Absolutely—through prayer. And I am fully convinced it is the best tool we have to make a lasting impact. The Bible tells us that "we do not wrestle against flesh and blood" (Ephesians 6:12). And that is why I am writing to you today.I want to share some information with you that I believe will provide you with a means to more deeply understand the circumstances behind this growing wave of persecution, and thus intercede more effectively. I encourage you to read this article, join us in prayer and continue to learn more about this situation.Thank you for standing with us to help bring the light of Jesus to the multiplied millions in Asia who still wait in spiritual darkness. What a joy to be a part of God's plan!Yours for the unreached,K.P. YohannanK.P. YohannanFounder & PresidentGospel for Asia
