I could use some prayer

Some of you know this already, but I am a diabetic. I was diagnosed with adult onset type II about 6 yrs ago. I've always been health conscience, and I am in the best physical shape of my life... even better than when I was in the Marine Corps.If you dont know, one thing that diabetics sometimes have problems with is their eyes. My vision if good, but yesterday I noticed something that I can only describe as a small blind spot in my peripheral vision. It may be nothing, it may go away. I dont know.I have a call in to my Doctor, and I'm going to go see an eye specialist as soon as I can schedule an appointment (which will probably be a couple weeks before I can get in). Please be in prayer about this. I'm only 38, and I dont need to have vision problems already.I'm all about God healing... especially when it concerns me! LOLI appreciate it, y'all.Krispy

one thing that diabetics sometimes have problems with is their eyes. Krispy, I understand this very well. I have two children (now adults) who were diagnosed with diabetes on the same day. One was 11 and the other was 9. That has been a very long story filled with many tears and many times of joy (seeing the Lord undertake) Two years ago my son lost his sight - in spite of several surgeries. At one point he said, "Mom, Since I've been blind, I've been able to "see" so much now that I never "saw" before. Anyway, last year, his sight in one eye suddenly returned (no doubt an answer to prayer), and he has been busy doing video productions on his computer. There is no better place to be than in God's hands, and I know that he is involved in your life. May you see his hand at work. Diane

Thanx Diane... I know what a pain in the butt diabetes is to deal with as an adult. I cant imagine the struggle when it's kids.Praise God for your son's miracle!By the way, if there are any Type II diabetics reading this, there is a new drug just approved by the FDA called "Byetta". Very expensive, but it has leveled my blood sugar so much! My last A1C was 6.5! Be sure to ask your doctor about it. It is an injection twice a day, but it's a protein based drug... not chemical. Great stuff. (Sorry for those who have no idea what I'm talking about!)Krispy

Krispy,I wish you well amd will pray to that end. However, have you considered asking the elders in your church to annoint you with oil? (James 5:14). We have had it done when our children had bad health problems...blessings follow obedience to that command....ginnyrose

It's 7:15am here in North Carolina... my appointment is in 30 minutes. My eyes will be dialated for a while after the appointment, but hopefully before noon I'll be able to get back on here and let y'all know how it went.About being annointed by the elders, that will be done. This has happened so fast I havent had time to get together with them yet. I didnt expect to get into the eye specialist this fast.Krispy

For whatever strange reason last week driving home from work was thinking about just this... It kind of morphed into a musing about the present Revival in Asbury (Think it would be fair to call it that), something about the manner of what was transpiring there that was authentic, the spontaneity, the lack of overt emotionalism's but not emotions ... It just never seemed to be a question at all what was happening.But where the sanctified :-? imagination ran was towards this same heightened awareness that we have often heard about due to a reliance on the other senses; "Mom, Since I've been blind, I've been able to "see" so much now that I never "saw" before. That is such a profound thing to hear and feel almost embarrassed to utter this in that light, my musing verses his reality. But to finish the train of thought, I had wondered if one was to lead a blind and deaf man into a setting such as what was transpiring in Asbury or any revival for that matter, just to hear from such a one's perspective, unaffected by the sounds and sights around him...Sometimes our very problem is that we can see and can hear.Anyway, last year, his sight in one eye suddenly returned (no doubt an answer to prayer), and he has been busy doing video productions on his computer. I'll pray for you. But please keep this in mind that if God does not heal you this infirmity may be for God's will. And just remember your new body that's coming when Jesus returns. God Bless You.
