Hi Justy and everyone,I found a transcript of this and read it. Very sobering words for sure. It so happens that I was sharing the faith earlier this week and ran into someone who said he had went to hell also and that the Lord saved him(it seemed he was a fairly new follower of Christ). His testimony did not seem exagerated. He mentioned that he knew the demons there that he had been 'battling' (while alive I assume) and how they had been with(in?) the different people he associated with. He also mentioned that he understood how important it was to be carefull who you talked to becuase of the fact that the demons followed people. He seemed very sure of the reality of hell.Back many months ago I was out sharing the Gospel and talked with a young man who said the night before he had a dream that he went to hell. Also not too long ago I talked to a young man(same street in the city as the first one) and he related a very strange experience the exact circumstances and details of which are sketchy in my mind - except for saying that he was once overcome by the feeling that he was doomed(and sinking down perhaps?) and as he looked around he saw what he described as idols and as he cried out to them to save him they all shook their heads as if to say they couldn't. At some point in this he related having the understanding that only Christ could save him.God's grace be with us brethren.

Hi Chris, I found an excellent book by S.B.Shaw "Dying Testimonies of the saved and unsaved" which tells of similar stories in which you have been told. A video you can watch online concerning NDE is at http://www.tbn.org/index.php/8/1.html called to Hell and back, I can only recomend that video or the Angel video(which is also worth a watch), havn't seen the rest.blessingsJusty

I've seen the documentary called "To Hell and Back." It was stirring. If I remember correctly everyone on there that experienced this "vision" was not saved when it happened, then afterwards decided the best thing to do was to repent. :-D

That’s the one, Its narrated by a top cardiologist who got saved while one of his patients was experiencing a NDE.

I listened to the Wise testimony of hell. Seemed very genuine. Some of the comments he made about hell I have heard from others, many were surprising, but after I read the verses they were right there in black and white.

Hi ginnyrose, here's a link to the transcript for you...http://www.all-jesus.com/scriptures/bill.htmSince I have not actually heard the audio I can't say for sure this is an accurate transcrip (except typos). But it seems like it is. Blessings to you.Justy, thanks for the links and recomendations. That sounds pretty amazing about the doctor! It is a powerfull testimony to share. Since you have brought this topic up I have been sharing with others both on the job and in one-to-one evangelisim the testimony of the one I told you about and this one you shared. The first time I started talking about this on the job I just sort of brought it up around several of the employees with something like...'I met this guy the other day...and he said he died and went to hell...what do you all think about that?'. You should have seen how interested everyone was. One moment they were all pretty much talking to each other and then the next they were all listening to what I was talking about.I have noticed that this is a potentially effective way to start up a conversation about God. Firstly, it isn't so offensive becuase you are simply sharing what someone told you they experienced(people get really interested about this too). Then after the conversation starts you could ask them what they think about the reality of Heaven and Hell and where they think they will go. And from there you can go into the Law and then grace. Also, I have been using it in one-to-one evangelisim to drive home the point about future judgement and the reality of hell. I ran into two professing wicans today and they seemed very confident about dying and what would happen to them. Then I shared the story and I think it was helpfull. Letsgetbusy, you're right, there was alot in there that refrenced scripture. I haven't examined the verses closely myself yet. Definitely the part about having a body that could not die brings to mind Mark 9:44. The unending nature of it really stood out too.Peace be with you all in Christ.

Any one know where I may find a the video of Bill Wiese experience in hell?

InTheLight Feb 25, 2006

I have an uneasy feeling in my spirit about this testimony. For one thing, he quotes a lot of Scriptures but many of them seem out of context and it seems to me they are being forced to fit his "experience".For example, the Scriptures he quotes after describing his being tormented by demons in hell just don't fit. There's nothing in Scritpure that says demons will be ruling in hell as some kind of tormentors, rather the Scriptures suggest that the demons will be tormented...And when he was come to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes, there met him two possessed with devils, coming out of the tombs, exceeding fierce, so that no man might pass by that way. And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time? (Matthew 8:28-29)And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. (Revelation 20:10)Mr. Wiese quotes from Isaiah 14 at this point in his testimony; the context there is of the judgement of the king of Babylon. It is speaking about his going down to the grave but I believe it is reading alot into that passage to use it as proof of actual prison cells in hell and demons ruling and tormenting those in hell. That was just the first part of his testimony, I didn't really read beyond there because what I had read so far seemed unscriptural to me. Just trying to "prove all things."Don't get me wrong, I know hell is real and the torments there will probably be a thousand times worse than anything this man has described; eternal separation from my beloved Lord is more terrifying than I care to imagine. I just don't know about this testimony. :-(In Christ,Ron

Hi Saints,Thanks for the evangelist tips Chris, I will use them.Paul, the video can be found at http://www.freecdtracts.com/ also there's other encouraging cd's to listen to, it's ok to copy and distribute them, in fact that's the purpose of the web-site.You will also hear kenneth Hagin's testimony at the end of the videoFor His gloryJusty

Hi Ron,Must echo your sentiments as well. That was just the first part of his testimony, I didn't really read beyond there because what I had read so far seemed unscriptural to me. Just trying to "prove all things."Got perhaps a bit further than that but had the same sense;I have an uneasy feeling in my spirit about this testimony. For one thing, he quotes a lot of Scriptures but many of them seem out of context and it seems to me they are being forced to fit his "experience".Difficult to ascribe either more or less to what this man experienced, that not really being the issue, but as you stated; "prove all things."

ChrisJD Feb 25, 2006

Hi everyone. To InTheLight and Crsschk, thank God for your caution and admonition to prove all things. It is a needed reminder for us.I think that right now I am holding very loosely the ideas I have about the exact nature of Hell and the future punishment. I often tell people very frankly that I am not really sure what it will be like exactly. However, I do share with them the insights our Lord gave us, such as there being outer darkness and there being weeping and gnashing of teeth. These are often enough to cuase alarm. So for certain we know it is a place to be shunned at all costs. I am also fairly certain that the duration of it is uniformly unending for all. That said, perhaps there is enough refrence in the testimony for us to examine this topic together and compare it with Scripture? Now, I do not mean to suggest we approach this with a mind to satisfy some curiosity becuase I think there is a danger in handling Scripture that way. And maybe this has already been covered in another topic? If nothing else perhaps we can share what we do know together for mutual benefit.InTheLight, I saw you mentioned thisFor example, the Scriptures he quotes after describing his being tormented by demons in hell just don't fit. There's nothing in Scritpure that says demons will be ruling in hell as some kind of tormentors, rather the Scriptures suggest that the demons will be tormented...A couple verses came to mind. If you would like, let me know what you think about them and if they apply? One is Matthew 18:34 And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him.The other was Rev 9:11.Thanks all,Richest blessings to you.

I have one question, can the parables of Jesus be taken for literal?John 16:25 These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall shew you plainly of the Father. For example, if the parable about the Rich man and Lazarus is an allegory or a metaphor, why are we taking it to mean something that is literal?Remember Jesus was made under the law, that means that He too was a shadow, what He spoke He spoke in shadows and metaphors. When He died and rose again, He spoke plainly at the dawning of a new day. This Day have a begotten thee, the Daystar rising in our hearts giving us the understanding to understand and know all things. A whole new creation was birthed, behold all things are new. Some of you may have been startled by the statement that Jesus was a shadow. I say that because you must consider this verse;2 Corinthians 5:16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.So is hell a metaphor or is it a real tormenting place, if that is true, than all the parable should be taken literally, and if your hand causes you to sin you must literally cut it off. You must pluck out your eye if your eye is causing you to sin. There are no exceptions, just because its not convient, either it's literal or it's not. It's easier to believe in hell in our minds than to cut one's hand off.Think about it, don't be so gullible.Karl ;-)

Hi Chris,Not to step on Ron's toes here, but the passage in Matthew would be quite the stretch to apply in that fashion considering the context it was spoken in. Karl has a point, sort of ...But I did enjoy and pardon the combining here of these two from your comments;I think that right now I am holding very loosely the ideas I have about ... However, I do share with them the insights our Lord gave us, such as ... That, as a combined statement is very much my own particular sentiment on many an item. How much trouble could this simple statement save us?

John 16:25 These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall shew you plainly of the Father.Karl, am no expert but think you may be mixing up metaphors here, no pun intended."These things", which 'things'? What is the context He was speaking in?Joh 16:25 - In Proverbs - That is, words which, besides their plain, literal meaning, have another, viz. a spiritual or figurative one. I have represented heavenly things to you through the medium of earthly. ~ Adam ClarkeJoh 16:25 - These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs,.... Concerning his Father, and his Father's house, and the many mansions in it, of his going to prepare a place for them there, and of the way unto it, all which they seemed not to understand; of the nature of communion with him and his Father, and of the manifestation of them to them, so as not unto the world, which they could not account for; of their union to him under the simile of the vine and its branches; and of his departure from them, and return unto them; and of the sorrow that should follow upon the one, and the joy that should attend the other, set forth in the case of a woman in travail, having sorrow, and being joyful when delivered. All which, one would think, were plain and easy to be understood; but such was the then present state and case of the disciples, that these all seemed as proverbs, parables, and dark sayings, which they did not clearly understand: wherefore our Lord says, but the time cometh; meaning either the time of his appearing unto them, after his resurrection, or the day of Pentecost: when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall show plainly of the Father; by pouring forth his Spirit upon them, who should not only take of his things, but of his Father's also, and show them unto them clearly and plainly; so as that they should have a clear understanding of them, as they were capable of; of the perfections of his nature, his distinct personality, his being the Father of Christ, and of all the elect in him; of his everlasting love to their persons; of his choice of them in Christ; of his covenant with them in him; of his mind and will concerning them, and his gracious designs towards them; of his Father's house, and the way to it; and of the nature, design, and usefulness of his going to him; of the distinction between speaking in parables and dark sayings, and speaking plainly, openly, and apparently; see Num_12:8. ~ John GillSomebody surely could come along and explain a more proper hermenutic towards this.Remember Jesus was made under the law, that means that He too was a shadow, what He spoke He spoke in shadows and metaphors. I say that because you must consider this verse;2 Corinthians 5:16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.Startled? More puzzled really. Wouldn't know where to begin with this. Something is really mixed up here. Where are you getting this stuff Karl? It's starting to sound almost esoteric going across some of your posts.Think about it, don't be so gullible.Don't be so accusatory brother, it's not needed.

I read most of the testimony, and among the first red flags I saw was when he mentioned Kenneth Hagan....I always though he was a false prophet...and if this fellow is a friend of his, how can one trust his writings? I agree, too, hell is so bad, so awful, so dreadful, it could stretch man's imagination to visualize it. Even so, when you do, you come up with something do dreadful it about makes you go crazy when you have loved ones who are living unrepentent lives and you know this will be their destination unless the LORD would intervene before that great and dreadful day...ginnyrose

ChrisJD, I agree that any ideas on the nature of hell and the punishment there must be loosely held. And I agree that what descriptions we do have of it in Scripture are enough to cause great alarm. If you would like, let me know what you think about them and if they apply? One is Matthew 18:34This verse does make one tremble because it doesn't just mention prison but torment. Frightful to think about it. In Matthew 9 Jesus spoke about hell as a place where "the worm dieth not" and "the fire is not quenched." I have read several commentaries that suggest this refers to the conscience and memories and I just listened to a sermon not too long ago out of Times Square Church where this very thing about the conscience and memories being the tormentor of hell was mentioned (I'll have to see if I can find the sermon and post a link here). In a certain sense I suppose it could be the demons who are seen as the tormentors because they are the ones who tempt us here to accomodate the flesh and the world. Those in hell may eternally be reminded of the consequnces of their response to those temptations. Could it be the remembrance of the rejections of the simple gospel while here on earth that would be the greatest torment of hell? Or could it be the remembrance of standing in the presence of perfect Love on Judgment Day and then having to be banished from that presence for all eternity (shudders)? As far as the Revelation verse goes, the whole passage there is obviously figurative with locusts and scorpions and such. Could this mention of Abaddon just be a personification of perdition? In Christ,Ron

Hi InTheLight, I'm glad you could share some ideas about this. It is good to be able to talk to other sincere believers about the reality of these things. I pray that we all will always remember to prefer one another and through this find the truth and understanding that the Lord would have for us and that honors Him before all and in the eyes of all.Ginnyrose, I can definitely empathise with your feelings about this. I have been living for some time now with much grief and anguish for the lost and even now write with tears. It is hard. May God comfort you in this.InTheLight, I had intended to respond to some of the points you brought up but I don't think I can right now. I would like to talk some more a little later.God bless for now,Chris

Brother Mike said:Don't be so accusatory brother, it's not needed. No one is accusing anyone, adding caution is what we all should do when we are studing holy writ, wouldn't you agree?Where are you getting this stuff Karl?I am not reading any books besides the bible if that is what your aiming. As I write, a scripture comes to mind and it opens up to me like a flower blooming and I see it and receive it because the bloom is pointing to Jesus. All that I have written in todays posts are things that I have never seen before. But I also know that they are not knew, Paul knew these things to. Am I greater than Paul? No!Do you know that the revelations that Paul received people are saying today that Paul must have been crazy or lost his mind on certain issues. If we don't understand a thing, doesn't mean it's wrong, it means that we don't understand what is being said. Only the Father can reveal this to you, only the Father can impart this understanding into your spirit and make real to you. The letter killeth its the Spirit that gives life, I want life, don't you? Sure you do, we all want life, and life more abundantly.I want to leave one last thought, If believers believe that they have all the truth down pat than why are we so divided? Jesus said, the TRUTH SHALL MAKE YOU FREE. As long as there are lies, traditional lies and contemporay lies there will always be divisions among us.And I am saying this in a quiet meek way, not judging at all.Karl
