Please Pray For Me!!!

Hi everyone... I just wanted to ask for prayer for something. There is a girl at my work who has had a very very hard life. Unbelievable. Anyway, she is mormon and recently I feel God has really opened her up to me. She has been comfortable sharing her story and her feelings with me. It's been such a blessing. But she has a fear of Christianity and is trying to become more involved with the mormon church. (She has been fairly distant from the church for many years.) I feel as if Jesus has put me in her life for a reason now... we have talked about God everytime we have gone to lunch together, and today it turned into some questions about mormonism/christianity... please be praying that God will move in her heart in a real and undenyable way. The other thing is that for several years now, she has beeen dating a guy who is agnostic. I think that is the majority of why she hasn't been more involved with the mormon church. Please pray for him also. Any advice you guys might have, would be much appreciated. (There are a whole lot of Mormons at my work as well, so it might be a bit uncomfortable... ;-))Thank you all in advance!

I'll be praying! I recommend you learn as much as you can about Mormanism (from a Biblical point of view of course) so you can intelligently answer any questions she will have. Cant warn someone against soemthing when you dont know why they should be warned, right?God will reward your efforts. You may not see it in this life, but it will happen.Krispy

Does anyone know where I can find Christian information about Mormonism? I do know quite a bit about it... but you can always know more, right? Thank God for brains...

Hi ryanelijah, I hope all is going well with you and this situation.I doubt that I can add anything about mormonisim that you won't learn at these websites but I can share some personal experince with you that may help. Some time ago I noticed two mormon missionairies waiting to get on the bus I was going to ride. So when the opportunity appeared as we were boarding the bus I handed one of them one of my home-made tracks - they're 3.5x2 cards with James 2:10 put into a picto-gram on the front and a message on the back. It ask's "Are you a good person?" on the front and says "solve this and find out".So anyway, I took my seat and they took theirs further back and we went on our way. Well sometme into the ride one of them comes up to my seat with the track in hand and asks me something about it. So we get into a conversation and I share with him the meaning of the verse it refrences, how if he has broken even ONE of the commandments he is GUILTY of all.Well, I have started to learn in sharing the Gospel with others to pay attention to facial expressions and I could tell that something about that had made an impact. Further proof of that was his retort about Matthew 5:48. So they got off the bus and we parted ways but I caught his eyes as the bus drove off and I really think something happened for him.So, what is the point of this? Well if you are dealing with someone who is very zealous for the teachings of mormonisim, by God's grace the Law can show them the futility of striving to merit heaven by their own righteousness. However, I am convicned that used with the right spirit, the Law is apporpriate to use for everyone that isn't already humbled before God. If you're not already familiar with it, I hightly recommend the teaching "Hell's Best Kept Secret", available at this site. The message was given by Ray Comfort. Also, perhaps the opportunity will arise for a group Bible study? And we certainly can not forget our most powerful weapon, prayer.Grace be with you in Christ,Christopher
