Does this sound like your church or maybe you dont know it really does???

The treasurer of the church says church is like a business....a pulpit commitee member drinks one beer after work but wont be a board member since he drinks one beer a day.....the flyers of the church for advertisement says: come to our church beacuse we have 'real fun'.....the board told the new pastor maybe he should rethink of having altar calls seeing the church isnt used to them ie stop them.....only one board member comes to mid-week service....Does this sound like your church???...because most of these things mentioned goes on behind the scenes....YES, I just decsribed a church I personally know!!???

I heard of preist being shot for holding services at church in my homeland,I know of a women who was hit by a car walking 8 miles to church on a main higway.many of churches have martyr.

Sounds like a social club who don't have a clue what church really is all about.ginnyrose....

I personally believe we need to do a whole lot more WEEPING FOR the "churches". And for The Church that will be persecuted by them.I completely agree.I don't see any of those behaviors in our church. We have a Pastor who preaches straight from the Bible. (which is rare today) I know that we are each just working out our salvation with fear and trembling. All of our deacons are men who are seeking God. Thank God! Otherwise, I would be looking for a new church. ;-)
