This book is a classic, it really captures the desires and life of Andrew Bonar, what a shining example of a Christ surrendered life. In his diary you are able to read this man of God's most deep struggles and emotions, what a privildge for us.A few diary exercepts:Saturday, July 9th. - I have been devoting an hour on Saturday morning after breakfast to prayer and meditation. I hate sin very feebly; I do not know it.Sabbath, 24th. - Awful struggle in my soul. In reading Henry Martyn, saw that I must give up all earthly friends, the most loved even, if I should be called by God to such work as he in other lands.
