Prayer and Priestliness

What rests in and belongs to priestliness is marked by an unambiguous ”Unto God”.

Priestliness – a mind intensely occupied by considering Jesus.Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the Apostle and High Priest of our confession. Hebr 3:1

Priestliness;Not what I am but what He is.There is no nee dying to the fact that I am somebody,but to the urge to try to be somebody.

Priestliness:Substantiated experience of Heavenly realities.

Priestliness – a desire to press on to perfection.

Priestliness:The outshining of the Glory of God.

Peter describs the priestly role as 'to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ' - 1 Peter 2:5 and 'to bear witness to his saving work in the world' - 2:9.Thus the priesthood is a mediatory role into which all Christians are enrolled through prayer and proclaimation.Lord, fill your people with your Holy Spirit that they might be a royal priesthood, until that time comes when we are all called to partake in your rule over the new earth (Rev 5:10)Dave

Waiting – the very heart of Priestliness.

The world is destitute of the sense of things heavenly for the lack of priests who are able to bring that dimension of reality. Another synonym for heaven is reality. Whatever reality is, then that is heaven. It takes even a priestly mentality to sense that, and to feel for that, and a priestly ministry to introduce that in a world that is inhospitable to heaven. There is a cry of God for the restoration of priesthood that alone will save us from the superficial demonstrations that are ostensibly performed in His Name.Art Katz
