Attention Dorcas Please

sermonindex Mar 22, 2006

Dear Dorcas, In case you see me up this morning and wondered did I get up early ... NO, I haven't been to bed yet.I don't delete my emails because of my memory ... and I stayed up all night reading them.Been trying to piece things together.I've got some ideas but first I want to say I'm sorry. Now, if I can see the monitor to go on with this ... I just think/hope that somehow The Lord could do a Romans 8:28 on my mouth (or typing fingers) and ask that you forgive me and maybe see with me that God was wanting you all to Himself and maybe I could use more of that dependence on Him too.Maybe you know right off what I mean ... I do have a tendency to lean and that's different than just "love".We said we would "disagree" and we accepted that at the time .... but I guess when I was waiting for the other shoe to drop here, after the wonderful concert (remember ?) ... I didn't think it would be on here. I was looking for something to happen elsewhere's and never thought I would come out swinging ever in 'your' direction ... I got caught off guard somehow.I still am human and told you on that post a while back, that I'd be confessing my faults to you. Don't know if you keep emails ... but I predicted something would happen with my confession in that same email where I confessed my fault to you - 3/17 5:24 PM.Never thought it would be at you though.Well it didn't happen in private ... so this is where this belongs.I love you and I've been praying that the Lord would heal you until I could do what I did this past nite/day.He Loves you and so do I.Annie

Since everyone's looking at this anyhow Dorcas, I may as well let everyone know what I confessed to you.I bet they'll never guess.I get angry everyone. The next sentence in that email said ... "I need to learn an awful much in this place or department."And as if everyone wasn't praying over this already. :-(

You get angry? Are you trying to tell me you aren't perfect? ;-) Take care, we are all in the process! :-)

Hi Annie,Thank you for your gracious posting to me here. I think I understand what has been going on, (although I can't find any email dated and timed 17th at 5.14 - only on the 18th at that time - and nothing about 'faults'.... but maybe it rings a distant bell); and I accept your apology unreservedly. I've got some ideas but first I will leave it up to you, whether to share these.Maybe you know right off what I mean ... I believe I do.Never thought it would be at you though. You may not believe this, (or maybe you will... ;-) ) but I take it as positive, that you trusted me enough to direct real feelings this way, even though I am not the answer to them, as you said.I love you and I've been praying that the Lord would heal you until I could do what I did this past nite/day.Thank you for praying for me. I've been praying for you, too, and I've been ok. The Lord caused me to wait... and as I did, a few things came to my understanding... and after that process I was still waiting... until finding your post. :-)EDIT: I hope you get some sleep, now.... 8-)

:-D I can NOW.I just FWed the email to you ... the quote is down toward the bottom of it.So glad we both were praying for each other.I was getting 'wait' too until it was bed time ... but I didn't want to go another nite, so that's when I wanted to read them all.Phew. That was something good. Well, anyways, the "ideas" was the leaning part ... that was all I got, as far as I can think right now.I blew my eyes out Sunday on the sick folks forum and emails, because of the b'day and all, and I really messed my eyes up bad. Wearing sunglasses to see the screen. It should resolve alright with some R&R but I didn't want R&R while things were still amiss with us.Anyhow ... Now that Melissa is praying for me too. I feel better now that more prayer warriors are out there and there may just be hope for me. When you read that email again, you'll see where I want that "gone".I knew yesterday that we could withstand EVEN THIS, but I couldn't wait to post this morning.I hope you'll email me again and share with me any thoughts you have and we can resume what's best.God Be with you in a tangible way today.Hope you feel my heart.AnnieThank you for praying too Melissa. Lord Bless you.

Hi again, Annie,Thanks for fwding the email. Haven't seen it yet. My screen's been freezing in the Miracles forum. :-(I've just done a loooong day, and will not be around online for very long tonight. I know I often say that, but tonight it's for real, unless the Lord insists I stay up. It seems very likely I will email you, but, please don't hold your breath. I will read the one you sent, and then, please give me processing and formatting time... ok? ... Thanks. I'm glad you're :-D too.

An edifying dialogue! Failings happen not because we’ve fallen from grace, but that we may stay close to grace. There was a time when I rarely said a thing - in order to avoid saying something wrong, and then having to live with the shame and humiliation and rejection after. But someone once said: “There is always a way out”. And you have demonstrated it. Many thanks. “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose” Romans 8:28Annie, May God’s shield surround you. I will keep praying for you. Diane

My daughter just now emailed me this. I thought of you guys and this thread ... Dorcas, Diane, Melissa, ETC.. Though, it would have been better if it were a little girl. There once was a little boy who had a bad temper. His Father gave him a bag of nails and told him that every time he lost his temper, he must hammer a nail into the back of the fence. The first day the boy had driven 37 nails into the fence. Over the next few weeks, as he learned to control his anger, the number of nails hammered daily gradually dwindled down. He discovered it was easier to hold his temper than to drive those nails into the fence. Finally the day came when the boy didn't lose his temper at all. He told his father about it and the father suggested that the boy now pull out one nail for each day that he was able to hold his temper. The days passed and the young boy was finally able to tell his father that all the nails were gone. The father took his son by the hand and led him to the fence. He said, "You have done well, my son, but look at the holes in the fence. The fence will never be the same. When you say things in anger, they leave a scar just like this one. You can put a knife in a man and draw it out. It won't matter how many times you say I'm sorry, the wound is still there. " A verbal wound is as bad as a physical one.Friends are very rare jewels, indeed. They make you smile and encourage you to succeed. They lend an ear, they share words of praise and they always want to open their hearts to us."It's National Friendship Week.HAPPY FRIENDSHIP WEEK FRIENDS.
